I heard a rumour today to the effect that there is a new GB member in his late twenties/early thirties. I stress that this is unsubtantiated and requires confirmation or quashing.

I am loving that little treatise on wishful thinking Frank. The speed of unravelling can be dramatic. Consider the Soviet block, a solid reality for decades and then gone, just like that.
Enron took the world's biggest accountants Anderson's down in weeks both apparently as solid as rock. Consider also the financial institutions thatdissapeared over night in 2008. Even the twin towers, dust in seconds. No one would have considered any of these events remotely possible until they happened.

The plot thickens, we in the UK have not seen a plastic grey bible. Perhaps it was a beta copy. I think suggestions as to what the GB should do with this marketing oportunity would be interesting.
Perhaps it will include the apophryca, the book of Judith would be good. I think they are fighting the impulse to include "new scrolls", maybe they have some silver tablets that have mysteriously disapeared. The possibilities are endless.

I think not Kramer, not British Men. Andy is the first since Fred perry in 1936. Anne Jones in the 60s and Virginia Wade in the 70s were the only Brit women's winners in living memory or at least in the open era.

Much has been written about the expected noo bible. So, the DCs have mostly come and gone. There are new releases of material indistinguishable from previous stuff. There is a “new” book with reprints of old articles all received with polite applause and yawns.
Where the hell are the bibles? It has been impossible to get one for something like a year. The rumor now is that there is a big hush, hush, printing job for next year, 2014. In the UK there is an attempt to have all the (international) conventions at the same time.
If this is the release of the new bible then the WTBibleTS will have been out of the business of distributing bibles for two years. This, just to build up the release of the new edition.
How corporate is that? It is like the release of a new iPad but much more clumsy. Will it have a high resolution cover? Will it be self studying? Will it be backlit to read in the dark? Possibly it will open itself to Matthew 24:43 and pop out a new generation interpretation. How about the book of 20 th C Acts with apostles Joe and Nathan etc.
The WTBS who can't even distribute bibles? They are not fit for purpose.
Any way in this fast approaching time of the end, there appear to be two years when tracts, leaflets, invitations and the odd book are more important than God’s word the bible.

2013 Drama: "Show Yourself Attentive"
by breakfast of champions inthis is the first of three "dramas" this dc, and i have to say, it was one of the weirdest dramas ever.
i won't go through all the details.
maybe someone else wants to throw in their 2c.. it starts out with two men standing on the "beach" talking, but it took me awhile to figure out what in the hell was going on.

Hi Wizzstick, I am one of the friends from the north. The same process happened for me. The way they look you in the eye and test your gullibility to breaking point is just too much to carry.
I think the most distressing aspect is the dishonesty constantly evidenced. I was just loooking at the Hitler reference in the apostate talks in the upcoming DC. The speaker refers to apostates claiming that the society supported Hitler (gasps of shocked horror from those in the audience awake and actually listening). A brief refresher from JW facts, and the 1998 Awake reveal that they should have kept their mouths shut. The original appeasement by Joe was bad enough but to throw that in the face of apostates and accuse them of inventing lies by lying or at least grossly misrepresentation is unforgivable.
A lot of witnesses say, "well that used to happen but it wouldn't be allowed now". These lies are current and gross. Shame on them.
